For life’s® OMEGA, dsm-firmenich goes straight to the source: microalgae provide EPA and DHA without fish oil. They are grown by fermentation under controlled conditions on land. That is why we chose this oil: both fatty acids from one vegan source, with a plant-based capsule shell too.
Microalgae are at the start of the marine omega-3 food chain. We get our DHA directly from them, making this fatty acid an option for people who do not eat fish. It comes in natural triglyceride form. DHA helps maintain normal brain function, with the beneficial effect obtained at 250 mg DHA daily.
Our algae oil provides EPA as well as DHA, bringing both omega-3 fatty acids into one vegan formula. We chose Schizochytrium microalgae as a single source of both. EPA and DHA help your heart function normally with a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA combined.

Two capsules provide 1000 mg total omega-3 fatty acids, including 600 mg DHA and 200 mg EPA. That is 800 mg EPA+DHA combined. EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA combined.

life’s® OMEGA is dsm-firmenich’s microalgae-oil ingredient, made from Schizochytrium sp. by controlled fermentation. It supplies both DHA and EPA without using fish oil.
It contains no fish oil, but an oil capsule can still have its own taste or aftertaste. Swallow the softgel as directed and follow the storage instructions.
